Upgrade the oem 10.9 bolt to a 12.9
You might be asking what’s the difference?
The numbers indicate the tensile and yield strength of each bolt.
Tensile strength of a bolt is the amount of force a bolt can withstand when it is being stretched without being deformed.
Yield strength is the maximum load without permanent deformation.
A 12.9 has a rating of about 175000 to 180000 psi tensile strength and is about 20-25% stronger than 10.9.
therefore making this a beefier stronger option.
To remove the oem bolt you’ll need an 18mm socket and to install your new upgraded bolt, you’ll need a 12mm hex head socket.
I recommend torquing these to 140-150ft/Ibs
